Heavy-Rare-Earth-Free NdFeB Magnets: Compliant Export from China to Taiwan — Completed
AHL has completed the actual process of compliantly exporting heavy-rare-earth-free sintered NdFeB magnets from China to Taiwan. The specific 48SH-and-below formulations AHL supplies contain no dysprosium (Dy) or terbium (Tb); composition was verified by a China customs-designated inspection body and the goods were exported after clearing customs-compliance procedures. AHL can assist Taiwan customers with procurement, import, and preparing the relevant declaration documents.
Why "heavy-rare-earth-free" matters now
Since 2025, China has placed heavy rare earths (HREE) such as dysprosium (Dy) and terbium (Tb) under export licensing. NdFeB magnets that contain only light rare earths (neodymium, praseodymium, etc.) and no Dy/Tb remain exportable under the rules, while high-coercivity grades containing Dy/Tb require an export license. AHL's value lies in being able—under these controls—to supply specific formulations that combine high-coercivity performance with a heavy-rare-earth-free composition that can be exported in compliance.
What AHL can and cannot currently supply
| Material scope | Status |
|---|---|
| Specific 48SH-and-below formulations, verified free of Dy/Tb | ✅ Available for compliant export |
| UH/EH and other grades containing heavy rare earths | ⛔ Currently unavailable |
Grades UH and above cannot obtain China export approval and are therefore unavailable. AHL does not circumvent controls by relabeling or transshipment.
"Having the product" is not the same as "having completed a compliant export"
AHL does not merely offer heavy-rare-earth-free product—it has actually completed the full first-batch process of compliant export from China to Taiwan: Dy/Tb composition inspection by a China customs-designated body, followed by export after customs-compliance clearance.
Note: grade alone cannot prove composition. It should not be claimed that all 48SH-and-below magnets are naturally free of heavy rare earths; the reference is AHL's supplied, batch-inspected specific formulation and its official documents.
Documents are verifiable
AHL's import customs declaration and related customs documents are legally binding official records. Contact us and AHL will help confirm the compliant-export record; after masking customer, price, supplier and declaration numbers, they can be provided for necessary verification.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can NdFeB magnets currently be imported from China into Taiwan?
Yes. If the product contains no controlled elements and has passed the designated inspection and China customs-compliance clearance, it can be exported to Taiwan under the rules. AHL has completed this process.
Are all 48SH-and-below magnets free of heavy rare earths?
Not necessarily. Grade alone cannot prove composition. The specific 48SH-and-below formulations AHL supplies are verified by inspection to be free of Dy and Tb, but each batch is governed by its official composition and inspection documents.
Can UH/EH magnets currently be imported from China?
AHL currently cannot obtain export approval for products containing controlled heavy rare earths, so these are not offered. AHL does not circumvent controls by relabeling or transshipment.
Need HRE-free compliant supply or import assistance?
Provide the part number, grade and destination, and AHL will assess the supply scope, prepare compliance documents and explain the import procedure.
