  • Exportable grades: 48SH and below
  • Material composition: free of dysprosium (Dy) and terbium (Tb)
  • Shipment is permitted after an inspection report is issued by a China Customs–designated inspection agency and verified through China Customs compliance procedures
  • Lead time: approximately 90–120 days
  • Sample fee: a one-time compliance and processing fee of approximately NT$10,000; magnet costs are billed separately
  • Sample fee refund: after samples pass testing, once a customer's order reaches NT$400,000 and AHL has received full payment, NT$10,000 is credited back to the customer

Frequently Asked Questions
What do the grade numbers of NdFeB magnets mean?
The number after "N" is the maximum energy product (BHmax) in MGOe. The higher the number, the stronger the magnet. N52 is about 50% stronger than N35 but also more expensive—choose based on your application needs and cost balance.
How do I choose the right temperature grade?
Exceeding the maximum operating temperature causes irreversible demagnetization. The N series tops out at 80°C, M at 100°C, H at 120°C, and SH/UH/EH reach 150–200°C. Choose according to the highest temperature in your operating environment.
How long does it take to receive samples?
Standard samples take 30–40 working days; rush orders can be shortened to 20–30 days (subject to certain conditions—please call to enquire). Providing complete specifications speeds up quoting and production.
How do I choose a coating?
Nickel (Ni) is the most common—good corrosion resistance and low cost. Zinc (Zn) suits grounding applications. Epoxy suits humid environments. Gold (Au) offers good conductivity but higher cost, for specialized electronics.
What is the minimum order quantity?
No minimum order quantity at the sampling stage—small trial batches are welcome. Production orders depend on specifications; please call or email for a quote.

Magnetic Field (surface field, units & influencing factors)

A magnet's field strength is often given as the "surface field," measured in gauss (G) or tesla (T). Conversion: 1 tesla = 10,000 gauss.

A few key concepts:

  • Remanence Br sets the material's inherent field ceiling; higher grades (e.g., N52) have higher Br.
  • The field decays rapidly with distance—strength drops noticeably just a short way from the surface.
  • Factors affecting the surface field: grade, shape ratio (taller height/diameter = stronger), measurement distance, and whether a magnetic circuit is used (a steel yoke concentrates the field and boosts pull force).
  • Surface field ≠ pull force: pull force also depends on contact area, the attracted material, and any air gap.

  • Keep away from children—swallowing multiple magnets can cause serious intestinal injury and requires immediate medical care.
  • Air shipments must comply with magnetic cargo (IATA) rules using magnetic-shielded packaging.

  • RoHS: restricts hazardous substances such as lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, PBB and PBDE.
  • REACh: complies with Substance of Very High Concern (SVHC) reporting.

Magnetization Direction
  • Axial: poles on the top and bottom faces—the most common. Suits discs, cylinders, blocks.
  • Diametric: poles on opposite sides of the circumference. Suits cylinders and rings.
  • Multi-pole: alternating N/S pole pairs on the same face. Suits motors, encoders, sensors.
  • Rings: can be axially, diametrically, or multi-pole magnetized.
  • Arc / segment: usually radially magnetized, common in motor rotors.
